About the event

Digital Competition Café is back in person in Brussels! Join us for an informal and fun conversation with experienced academics and practitioners working on digital competition issues. The first guest speaker to share his experience is the passionate competition lawyer Assimakis Komninos on Wednesday, June 1st, from 6 pm to 7 pm. Makis is one of the few lawyers in the world who knows the biggest antitrust digital cases in Europe from the inside, from Microsoft interoperability to Google Android, to the Italian Amazon BuyBox cases. Besides, he extensively contributes to the competition law and economics literature in the digital sector. Makis will share with us his journey from beautiful Greece to Brussels, his passion, his best and worst experiences in his career, and his vision for the future of competition law in Europe.
